Tata Steel Limited invites applications for recruitment of Trade Apprentices (under the Apprentices Act, 1961)
On-line application will be open from July 9 to 31, 2012.
 ELIGIBILITY: Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent examination having passed in all subjects with minimum aggregate marks of 70% (60% for SC/ST candidates). Must have English, Science and Mathematics as subjects in Matriculation or equivalent examination.
Age : Must have been born between 01/07/1993 and 01/07/1997 including these two dates.
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates must have been born between 01/07/1992 and 01/07/1997 including these two dates
Physical 
  Height: 152 cm. (for girls 142 cm)
 Weight: 45 Kg. (for girls 40 Kgs.)
  Expansion of Chest: 5 cm.
 Eyesight 6/6 in both eyes with glass
 Power of Glasses ± 4.0 maximum
  Colour Vision: Normal Domicile : State of Jharkhand

Step-2 Take prints of the application entered successfully as the above and send / submit to Head, Recruitment, SNTI, N-Road Bistupur, Jamshedpur - 831001 along with required documents.
 SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
 1. Last Date of submission of on-line application: 31/07/2012. 2. Submission of hard copy of the duly completed on line application is mandatory. Last date of submission of the hard copy of online application: 02/08/2012 3. If a candidate is found to be ineligible at any stage of the selection process or during the training he/she will not be considered for apprenticeship or his/her training will be terminated, as the case may be. SELECTION PROCESS: 1. In case of receipt of a large number of applications the cut-off marks will be fixed at a higher level for calling candidates for the Written Test. 2. Written Test is scheduled on Sunday, the 12th August 2012 followed by interview and medical examination subsequently. 3. Those who are found fit will be offered admission to the training programme, which is scheduled to commence from 24th September 2012.
